elevened is more of a confession box rather than the exploration of a character.
In the midst of a disruptive and feverish dream the protagonist (in actuality three protagonists) sleepwalk and attempt to forget someone unforgettable, sending messages to him that go nowhere. Illuminated by nothing more than a strobe light and including other Alice-esque symbols, the actions repeat themselves obsessively as if the girls are following themselves into their own surreal rabbit hole.
This second loop was accompanied by a reading of a written piece, "pink pink pink / the knave of hearts" giving voice to these sent/unsent letters. This reading plays from the central speaker beneath elevened's screen although the words are muffled and nearly inaudible to viewers.
