alice depicts the heroine of the Alice books herself, continuously re-enacting a famous illustration by John Tenniel in Wonderland's Chapter XII ("Alice's Evidence").
Alice is portrayed here in a state of arrested development and- in some ways- danger. She tenses herself and relaxes in an unchanging, disorienting space where she will never grow but be constantly remembered as a literary character.
This third loop eventually emits an arrangement of Frank Mills' "Music Box Dancer" from its speaker, increasing in volume and spreading to all other speakers before filling the installation space.
