2005 - 20063 1/2 minutesmini dvThough I Hear You Calling, I Will Not Answer was comissioned as a birthday present in 2005. It ended up finding its final form in April 2006.Like The World Is Saved this video has a disorienting, dream-like quality. It features toys that reference family members as well as childhood memories, most notably a teddy bear. Also included: the sounds of a local train, yellow nail polish (a nod to Cat Power's video for "Cross Bones Style") and a count-off over an animal's gravesite.For a better quality version of this video, please visit it on Vimeo.The music is by The White Stripes and can be found on their 2005 single for "Blue Orchid."
