03 is an exercise that begins on Christmas morning of 2003. The contents are centered on figuring out what the camera can do (a humble JVC GR-D30), as well as what is worth recording.
The thirty minutes were divided into several segments, the last of which is included here. "Sparks" begins with someone in the family basement, learning how to play a guitar for the first time. This segues into a latter activity that she has unknowingly scored the music to, including the last shot, which was strangely unintentional.
